Our producers use a variety of production methods in efforts to ensure sustainable forage sources and supply of Wagyu cattle for long-term viability of Imperial American Wagyu. On behalf of Imperial American Wagyu Beef, JBS is a founding member of the U.S. Roundtable of Sustainable Beef and a current member of the Board of Directors.
We believe that agriculture can be part of the climate solution and that a sustainable food system is important. That’s why JBS Foods, which includes Imperial American Wagyu Beef, has pledged to achieve net-zero GHG (greenhouse gas) emissions by 2040. Our ambition is to help lead change across the food industry to reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions while continuing to support our producer and supplier partners. The USRSB is working to advance continuous improvement of the beef supply chain by developing practiced-based Metrics and Sustainability Assessment Guides, which will measure progress against the six high-priority indicators. Our active involvement in this organization shows our commitment to keeping sustainable American Wagyu beef on the table.

Imperial American Wagyu Beef is recognized for its alignment to the U.S. Beef Industry Sustainability Framework. The Framework is an industry-adopted resource that outlines key areas of sustainability and opportunities for improvement across the beef value chain.
