Ingredients

To make steak and pasta

3 lbs. Imperial American Wagyu Flank Steak (trimmed)
1 lb Fettucine Noodles
Blackening Seasoning (recipe below), or you can purchase from store if available
1 stick Unsalted Butter
¼ cup Minced Garlic
½ cup Flour
2 cups Heavy Cream
6 cups Milk
½ cup Sundried Tomatoes
¼ tsp. Garlic Powder
1 tsp. Onion Powder
1 tbsp. Salt
2 tsp. Sugar
2 cups Grated Parmesan
2 tbsp. Sliced Fresh Basil
2 tbsp. Minced Parsley

To make blackening seasoning

1 cup Paprika
¾ cup Salt
6 tbsp. Onion Powder
6 tbsp. Garlic Powder
6 tbsp. Cayenne Pepper
4 tbsp. White Pepper
4 tbsp. Black Pepper
2.5 tbsp. Thyme Leaves
2.5 tbsp. Oregano Leaves

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Cook fettucine noodles to box specifications and set aside.
  3. Cut flank steak in 6 equal parts and season generously with blackening seasoning.
  4. In a 6 qt. saucepot, melt butter over medium-high heat, add garlic, and cook until fragrant.
  5. Add flour and cook, stirring often, for 5-7 min or until flour smells a little nutty. Slowly whisk in heavy cream and milk and allow to come to a simmer. Reduce heat to medium and cook for 10-15 min to allow sauce to thicken.
  6. Add in sundried tomatoes, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and sugar and cook for 2-3 min, then add in parmesan cheese and stir for 2-3 min to make sure all is incorporated and melted.
  7. Finish sauce by topping with fresh basil and parsley and remove from heat, allowing the sauce to set while steaks are being cooked.
  8. Heat a cast iron skillet to almost smoking hot.
  9. Rub each seasoned piece of steak with a little oil or pan spray and place in hot skillet, cooking each steak for 2-3 min per side, or until a nice blackened crust has formed.
  10. Place finished pieces on a baking pan and place in pre-heated oven for an additional 8 minutes.
  11. Remove from oven and allow to rest for 5 minutes before slicing thin and against the grain for maximum tenderness.
  12. Toss Fettucine noodles with finished sauce and serve with sliced flank steak and enjoy!

For the Blackening Seasoning:

  1. Mix all ingredients and store in air-tight container.
